ABOUT THE FOUNDERS of One Brick Films, LLC
Kurt Burk was born and raised in a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts, called Westwood, and earned his B.A. in Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts, majoring in Investment Finance, while minoring in Psychology. He earned his certificate in Film Production from New York University before making the move to Los Angeles. For almost two years, he worked at Panavision Hollywood as a camera prep technician, then as a cinematographer and producer for low-budget commercials. Realizing that writing and directing was his passion, Kurt obtained his M.F.A. in Film from the Art Center College of Design, majoring in Directing, while minoring in Photography. He built a solid commercial reel that was recognized at the Clio Awards and upon graduation in 2002 he signed as a director of commercials at production companies in the U.S., Germany, and Japan. But he soon shifted his focus solely to narrative feature films when he discovered the stories of W. Watts Biggers in 2003. ‘A Woman Called Job’ is Kurt Burk’s first feature film as writer, director, and producer.
Mark J. Melchiori received his Bachelor of Science in Business, with an emphasis in Strategic Planning and Management, at California Lutheran University. Currently he is the Founder and Head of Melchiori Investment Companies, LLC, specializing in Real Estate and Private Equities Transactions in the Development Business.
